David Mathern, PA-C

David K. Mathern, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant licensed to practice in Illinois. Mathern graduated from Long Island University, an NCCPA accredited program in Brooklyn, New York. He then attended a residency program through Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in Morton Grove, Illinois, where he received training in orthopaedic trauma, joint reconstruction, spine, pediatric orthopaedics, and sports medicine. Upon completion of his residency, David earned his masters degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska.

David has a passion for orthopaedic trauma surgery and has worked at two Level I Trauma Centers in the Chicagoland area. Mathern joined Hinsdale Orthopaedics in 2011 and works alongside Dr. Louis in the operating room, clinic, and emergency room to help diagnose and treat orthopaedic injuries and joint problems with both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options.
