Revision Total Joint Replacement

From nonsurgical options to minimally invasive techniques, Hinsdale Orthopaedics treats a broad range of conditions. It is not unusual for us to see musculoskeletal trauma injuries that involve the joints. Sometimes traumatic injuries, old injuries or repetitive activities may require more intensive treatments like total joint replacement. Considered to be one of the most successful procedures, total joint replacement allows patients the opportunity to live more active lives without chronic pain. Patients who have total joint replacement surgery receive an implant or a prosthesis. Hinsdale Orthopaedics’ physicians are distinguished for treating the whole patient. In fact, not only do we see patients from Chicagoland, but we also have seen them from as far away as Canada, Mexico and Israel, especially if they are looking for revision total joint replacement.

Over time, a joint implant may loosen from the underlying bone. There are a number of reasons for this. One of the causes is when a young patient undergoes total joint replacement, they may actually outlive the life expectancy of their total joint replacement. Consequently, these patients are more likely to require revision total joint replacement. Other contributing factors may be brought on by artificial joint deterioration or the onset of infection, which is a possible complication to any surgery. In these situations, revision total joint replacement may be the best solution. With a variety of nationally-known, fellowship-trained and board-certified physicians, Hinsdale Orthopaedics is the likely choice for all of these procedures. We also have offices in Elmhurst, Joliet, New Lenox, Naperville, Western Springs and Westmont. Chicagoland patients can always depend upon Hinsdale Orthopaedics to endeavor not only to meet their expectations, but to regularly surpass them.
